Project Ava is a new indie IP published by 11bit studios (Frostpunk, This War of Mine), co-developed between Chibig (Summer in Mara, Deiland) and Inverge (Effie). We’re looking for a Narrative Designer to join our small team to craft the stories that bring to life our characters and worlds. We are considering on-site working options as well as remote candidates. The offer is open to freelance work too.

What our Narrative Designers do

• Design compelling quests, satisfying dialogue, rich stories and amazing cutscenes.
• Craft the story, creating thrilling plots and memorable characters.
• Master narrative exposition and game design, conveying the story through game mechanics.
• Create easy-to-read documentation such as narrative bibles, character profiles/backstories and worldbuilding documents.
• Work with producers to maintain good documentation and achievable milestones.
• Play the game regularly and continually identify opportunities to improve writing quality.

Who we are looking for

• Solid knowledge of game development processes and pipelines.
• Able to work with team leads to align priorities and build predictability in scheduling.
• Strong project and people management skills.
• Experience using project management software like Trello or Hacknplan.
• A self-motivated and organized individual who works well when left on his/her own.
• Experience with prototype/quick iteration environments.
• Passionate about playing and making video games.
